About AgeShield ID Scanner
AgeShield ID Scanner is an ID scanner app with a web hub for bars, clubs, restaurants and retailers in the United States, made by AgeShield LLC in Boston, Massachusetts.
What AgeShield ID Scanner is
AgeShield ID Scanner has two parts. Door staff scan IDs with the AgeShield app on their phones. Owners and managers use the AgeShield hub in a web browser to see every scan, keep the Banned list, manage staff and devices and export the audit log.
The app works out each guest's age from the ID and runs a barcode forgery check on US driver's licenses and state IDs. It also reads passports, US green cards and driver's licenses from other countries. Your staff still makes the call on who gets in, and the app records what they decided.
Every plan includes three devices scanning at once. Core starts at $41.58/month and Pro at $58.25/month, billed annually. A new customer's first venue starts on a 14-day trial with the Pro features.
Where AgeShield is available
AgeShield ID Scanner is available to venues in 46 of the 50 states and in Washington, DC. Availability depends on the venue's address, while the billing address can be in any state. US territories are not covered.
That limit is about where your venue is, not about your guests. A venue on AgeShield can scan driver's licenses and state IDs issued by every US state, including the states listed below.
AgeShield is built for US venues, and prices are in US dollars.

Nebraska
Nebraska is not part of the current rollout.
New Hampshire
State law in New Hampshire means AgeShield cannot operate there.
South Carolina
South Carolina is not part of the current rollout.
West Virginia
West Virginia is not part of the current rollout.

The app is listed as "AgeShield - ID Scanner" on the App Store and Google Play. It runs on iPhones and iPads, and on Android phones and tablets.
